Food: The closest grocery store is in Lenoir, 25-30 minutes away, so bring everything you think you’ll need.
- Wilson Creek Trading Post, our next-door neighbor, has ICE, ice cream, candy and snack foods.
- Betsey’s Old Country Store has snacks and sometimes sells hot dogs and sandwiches. It is located up Brown Mountain Beach Road in Mortimer, 15 minutes away.
Garbage: Keep all garbage secured inside to deter bears and other wild creatures. All garbage must be brought out when you leave.
